Tales Held Dear is an improv troupe with a focus on fantasy and genre fiction and persistent characters.
The form is an exploratory and experimental approach rooted in long-form improvisation technique inspired by the interactions and plots that come from fantasy and science fiction stories and media.
Our approach is inspired by social storytelling and roleplaying games, sometimes experimenting in our sets with pre-set narrative landmarks, rules, and a little randomness to bring a unique flavor to our storytelling moments.
